Working with transactions in Bank Genie 4
Screen BS421S31

To display this screen:
Click Add, Edit or Delete in Manage Transactions - BS421

In this section:

• The Use Predictive text checkbox
• The Transaction Date field and the Bank Date field
• Adding a transaction
• Categorising a transaction
• Splitting a transaction
• Adding a transfer
• Editing a transfer - changing the transfer account
• Editing a Transfer - Undoing/Removing the Transfer Account

The Use Predictive text checkbox
When checked, predictive text will help you enter text in the following data fields:
Cheque Number
Transaction Date and Bank Date
Paid to/Received from

The Transaction Date field and the Bank Date field
The Transaction Date field and the Bank Date field are used in a number of screens in Bank Genie.
The special features are described in this section in Common Controls

The Transaction Dates and the Bank Dates are entered using a Bank Genie Date picker.

  Referring to this screenshot, select another Account in the Transfer To list of accounts
  When you change the name of the account to receive the payment in an existing Transfer, Bank Genie gives you options on how to deal with the original other side of the transaction
  Screen BS421S32 will appear and offer these options:-
1. Delete
2. Do not delete. Break the transfer link
   When option 2 is taken, the original transaction on the other side of the Transfer is not deleted. Its category is changed from Transfer to Broken Transfer.
3. Cancel
   
   Choose an option and proceed with your action.
    
• Editing a Transfer - Undoing/Removing the Transfer Account
  Once again, Bank Genie will display Screen BS421S32 with three options.
  Choose an option and proceed with your action.
   
• Deleting a Transfer transaction
  When you click the Delete button when editing a Transfer transaction
  screen BS421S18 will appear.
  Choose an option and proceed.
